Pre-test the compatibility of the inks with the media before commencing actual production.
To achieve the best possible print quality, please make sure that the correct ICC profiles and heater settings are used. For further assistance, please contact our HelpDesk.
Durability of Media
The durability of the printed image is dependent on the fading characteristics of the inks used.
If the printed graphics are likely to be exposed to corrosive liquids, smoke, fumes or a highly polluted atmosphere or if there is a likelihood of scratching or friction while mounting on surface or cleaning after mounting. It is strongly recommended that the prints are laminated with a cold, pressure sensitive vinyl lamination media.
Usage Instructions
It is recommended to condition the media in the normal printing environment for 24 hours before printing.
While printing, care must be taken to modify the print file to suit the ink limit of the media. For best results, please ensure proper colour calibration.
The media should be printed on within the specified ink limit. Exceeding the ink limit can lead to longer drying time, bleeding and lower resolution.
Printed media should be thoroughly dried before rolling-up for transport to avoid ink smearing.
Kindly avoid using the media with Poly Carbonate sheets or pasting on existing printed vinyl or MDF/straw board.
Pre-test the media for tiling application before doing the actual job.
While laminating and transporting the media, please ensure that it is completely flat and remains still so as to avoid formation of tunnels or hoops. Also ensure that the mounting boards are stored horizontally, prior to use. For more details, please refer to the supplier's instructions concerning the conditioning of the substrate before use. Avoid wet method to mount the prints.
Separate earthing to the printing machine is recommended to avoid static charge build up while using PVC vinyl or other plastic media.
A fresh pair of cotton gloves should be used while handling the bare media to avoid sweat, grease and oil transfer on to the media that could interfere with the print quality.
When not in use, the media should be stored in its original packing in a vertical position.
