New design for the AGFAnet
The AGFAnet, Agfa's internet offering for the consumer, has had a new look since the turn of the year. "Despite the success of the website and the rapid increase in the number of visitors over the past three years, we could still see room for improvement", explains Dr. Ulrich Thieme, Senior Manager Web Services at Agfa. One defined goal of redesigning the site was to increase the clarity of the offering for the user. The clearly structured new design of the homepage makes it easy for visitors to get an overview of the range of interesting contents, covering every topic of relevance to photography and imaging - a range that has been expanded considerably in recent months. It gives the user a quick, complete overview and enables rapid access to the specific offering within the currently selected topic. This clarity also benefits the AGFAnet Print Service. Having come out on top in several tests in recent months, this service is being used more and more by internet users. Another change that immediately hits the eye is the prominent use of photos. "As an imaging company, we will be relying much more on the power of images in the future," says Dr. Thieme. In addition, the new design fits harmoniously into Agfa's overall internet presence.
