FileFlow announces FastSend Media Portal
FileFlow, Inc, developer of the Internet’s FastSend digital courier
service, has released the FastSend Media Portal, an application designed to make FastSend file transfer as easy as copying files on a network.
FastSend is a file transmission technology that greatly reduces the amount of time it takes to send large graphic files over the Internet. Regardless of the client’s Internet connection speed or file size, FastSend can transmit files up to 25 times faster than regular FTP or eMail.
Using the FastSend Media Portal, an operator simply drags a file or folder to the Media Portal Icon on their desktop. From there, FastSend automatically transmits the file across the street or around the world with no further intervention. The only requirement is an Internet connection for both sender and receiver.
Since it uses FastSend technology, the FastSend Media Portal is capable of quickly transmitting large files anywhere in the world without depending on high speed Internet connections. Even a 25-megabyte TIFF takes less than three minutes to send over a 56K modem. Plus, the drag and drop functionality means it’s easier to use than email and looks no
different than copying files from one disk (or folder) to another.
