Safety

Wear cotton hand gloves while handling plates to avoid cuts.
Wear acid/ alkali resistance rubber gloves and Safety goggles while processing plates.
*Safe light : Any light which does not emit rays in range of 380�420 nm.
Avoid daylight, white fluorescent tubelights. Preferably work under yellow fluorescent tubelight, sodium vapour lamp or white fluorescent tubelight covered with yellow gelatin paper.

Handling and Storage Exposure

Plates should be handled under yellow light conditions prior to processing. Unexposed plates should be stored in the original packaging, in a cool dry environment. Recommended conditions,20�C and 70% relative humidity. Shelf life 12 months under recommended conditions.

Exposure

Should be determined with suitable test targets such as UGRA. High intensity diazo or mercury vapor light source, with a spectral sensitivity ranging from 350-450 nm. Energy requirement is 300 millijoules/cm�.Recommended : Step 2-3 clear. Step 6-7 ^th solid. Microlines 10 microns..

Development

Posidev Powder / ready-to-use developer temperature 18-24� C Dwell time: 30 seconds Throughput : 10-15m�. per liter in machine development

Resolution

Recommended up to 175 line screen, 2% - 98%

Finishing

Unifin finisher Use a 50: 50 mixture of finisher and water for short time storage. The finisher should not produce streaks.

Deletions

Jiffy / Posidel Fluid / Swish image remover pen. Recommended contact time is 20-45 seconds. Reapply finisher after deletion.
Note : Excessive contact time should be avoided, as it will weaken the anodizing of the plate.

Additions

Imaplus / Swish image addition pen along with plate etch.
Additions are not recommended, as they are unlikely to match the required run-length of the plate coating.
