    NovaDom Computer-to-Plate-to-Print System

NovaDom CPP System   |   Components   |   Features   |   Usage Instructions

    NovaDom System Features

    • Instant imaging, direct-to-press, high productivity
Create the page on the computer, image it directly on NovaDom plate through a laser printer, send the plate directly to the press, print up to 20,000 copies.

    • World's lowest cost per copy desktop CtP system.
NovaDom system eliminates the need for dedicated hardware. No camera, imagesetter / platesetter, platemaker or processor. Plate coating is not light-sensitive, so the plate can be handled in daylight conditions and has unlimited shelf life. Being double-sided errors can be corrected by imaging on and printing from the other side without wasting the plate.

    • Fit & Forget
NovaDom is a robust plate, compatible with standard founts and inks, and does not require any etches. So metal plates, silver plates and NovaDom can be used on the same press without having to change the fount or ink.

    • Ecology friendly, zero processing, zero disruption
Dry-to-dry process. No chemistry. Zero effluents. No pollutants. No hazards

    • Dimensionally stable polyester base
Thickness : 100 microns for NovaDom Standard and NovaDom 5000; 75 microns for Presto.

    • Print quality beats metal plates
Ink receptivity and hydrophilic properties of NovaDom are similar to metal plates. Resolution is superior to metal plates made from flat copy originals. Reproduces halftones with screen-ruling up to 150 lines per inch, i.e. 60 lines per cm, with 3% to 97% dot rendition (depending upon laser printer resolution). Ideal for single and spot colour printing. Can print pleasing 4-colour process work.

    • Long run length
NovaDom prints up to 20,000 copies per side, that is 40,000 copies per plate (for the double-sided version) without baking, under recommended imaging and printing conditions.

Run-length can be doubled by passing the NovaDom plate through a simple table-top baking unit. It is a completely dry process, very simple, instantaneous, safe and the unit itself is very low cost.

    • True personalisation
Delete text, solids or halftones with a special NovaDom deletion pen or fluid. Add images by writing or drawing directly on the NovaDom plate, using the special NovaDom addition pen.
