Premium, corrosion inhibited fountain solution concentrate ideal for contact dampening systems on heat-set web presses and cold-set presses running low-rub inks. Compatible for use with UV curing inks.
Features
- Buffered to give a consistent pH reading in the range of pH 4.8 ~ 5.3, depending on raw-water quality, at the recommended dilution level.
- Tested and certified for corrosion inhibition properties. (State Material Test Institution, Darstadt Surfacetechnique Section, Grafenstrape, Darmstadt, Germany).
- Achieves optimum quality of printing with reduced alcohol feed in alcohol dampening systems.
- Suitable for use with de-mineralized/distilled water without other additives.
- Excellent wetting properties permit a reduction in damp level on the press, thus reducing over-emulsification giving brighter, denser colours.
- Suitable for use with most damping system designs. Has the tendency to foam in high-speed circulation systems.
- Effectively protected from bacterial spoilage common in circulating dampening systems by a broad-spectrum biocide.
- Contains sequestering agents which enables satisfactory performance with soft to medium hard raw-water conditions
Instructions
The recommended dosing of 2% (20ml. per litre) adequately ensure the full benefits. Dilution may be optimised within the range of 1.5% ~ 3% (15ml. ~ 30ml.per litre) depending on usage conditions. For accurate dosing control of buffered fountain solutions, use of a conductivity meter is essential. Always ensure that the mixed fount solution is within ± 100 microsiemens of the pre-determined 2% mix. Thorough cleaning of the dosing, circulation and feeding systems with Fount System Cleaner is highly recommended prior to charging freshly mixed solution to ensure optimum tray life.
