Gum-based buffered fountain solution concentrate for sheet-fed offset machines with conventional non-circulating dampening systems.
Features
- Buffered to give a consistent pH reading in the range 4.0 ~ 5.0
- Free of VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds).
- Maintains consistency of water requirement on the plate throughout the press run thus enabling consistency of print quality.
- Suitable for use with soft to medium raw-water conditions.
- Rapidly achieves and maintains ink-water balance throughout press run.
- Not recommended for use with alcohol damping systems.
- Corrosion inhibited to protect the plate, blanket and other metal parts of the press.
- Contains sequestering agents to minimize the effects of hard water
Instructions
The fount additive should be diluted @ 2.5% (25 ml. per litre). The concentration can be varied in the range 2% ~ 3% (20ml. ~30 ml. per litre) depending on raw-water conditions. Check and re-adjust water feed as per requirement of the press. For accurate dosing control of buffered fountain solutions, use of a conductivity meter is essential. Always ensure that the mixed fount solution is within ± 100 microsiemens of the pre-determined 2% mix. Thorough cleaning of the dosing, circulation and feeding systems with Fount System Cleaner is highly recommended prior to charging freshly mixed solution to ensure optimum tray life.
