Features A VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) free wash made from natural vegetable oils. Suitable for UV and conventional inks. Compared with normal solvents, only one tenth in volume of Tonic FR will be needed. Recommended for use directly or after diluting 1:1 with normal tap water. Washes rubber rollers, blankets, dampers and all metal surfaces. Rejuvenates rubber to its original specifications. No residue or greasiness left when used with ordinary tap water. Non-corrosive solution with low toxicity. Fully water miscible with a flash point above 100°C. Suitable for use as a roller lubricant on non-printing units of the press with the additional benefit of de-glazing. Simplifies wastage disposal with recycling possibility of ink pigments as an added benefit. Instructions Apply a small amount of Tonic FR across the roller train, ensure every roller is lubricated and allow up to one minute to run in. Engage wash-up blade and wash the rollers thoroughly with normal tap water! Alternatively, mix Tonic FR and water in the ratio 1:1 with normal tap water. Apply a small amount of the emulsion and allow running in for 10-15 seconds, then engaging wash-up blade. Apply more volume of emulsion until 60-70% of the ink has been removed. Rinse with normal water only. The correct ratio of emulsion to water will be one part of emulsion to four parts of water. Blankets : Charge a wiper cloth/sponge with Tonic FR. Apply a thin layer over the blanket and wipe off with a wet cloth. Alternatively, use a mixture of Tonic FR in water in the ratio 1:1. Apply with a wiper cloth and wash the blankets in the normal way. Dampers : Soak the damper rollers with water. Apply a small amount of Tonic FR along the roller length. Work into the damper material. Rinse with normal tap water. Packing 1L & 5L
