General purpose acid etch solution for all plate types.
Features
- Suitable for all cleaning and etching requirements of the background/non-imaged areas of presensitised and non-sensitised plates.
- Recommended as pretreatment prior to making image additions with Imaplus, to ensure good adhesion.
- Ready-to-use straight from the bottle.
- Can be mixed with pure Gum Arabic solution to make a Gum Etch.
- Will not damage image area of the plate.
Instructions
Plate etch is ideal for use to overcome ink catch-up, filling-in of half tones or mild scum. Apply Plate Etch directly on the plate using a clean lint-free cloth. It is also possible to apply the product after application of a plate finishing gum.
Caution
Plate Saver can damage "fogged" image areas of Positive PS plates if allowed to remain in prolonged contact. Thorough buffing down with a dry lint-free cloth immediately following application prevents the possibility of image blinding.
