Premium, two-in-one emulsion washout-cum-storage solution for all plate types. Ideal for use in situations such as packaging printing where frequent cleaning of the plate is necessary.
Features
- Achieves plate washout and protection for plate preservation on the machine in a single application.
- The solvent phase of the emulsion removes the ink safely without damaging the image areas, together with resins that give protection during storage.
- The aqueous phase of the emulsion contains desensitizing agents to protect non-image areas and prevent finger marking and scuffing during further handling.
- The emulsion is sufficiently thin to allow easy application and buffing down, while being viscous enough to prevent running down the plate cylinder.
- Compatible with most pre-sensitized or non-sensitized plates
- Eliminates the need for wet washing of the plate during restart operations, for the clean and fast reproduction without wastage.
Instructions
As a plate washout : Lift forme rollers from contact with the plate and apply Washout + Storage Gum with a damp cloth. Wipe over the entire plate, taking the ink residue into the cloth. Buff down to a thin layer. During machine restart, charge the damper rollers for a few revolutions before charging the plate with ink.
As a plate preservation gum : Washout + Storage Gum should be applied with a lint-free cloth. Sponges are not suitable. Apply the product over the entire plate surface, ensuring that it is buffed down to a thin even film without streaks or gaps. Allow natural drying. Washout + Storage Gum is not recommended for off the press storage of plates.
