    1. What is NovaLith Reproducible Clear Film?

    It is a polyester-based sensitized clear film which acts as an intermediate –original, (positive) to be exposed duly on the silk screens in textile processing house

    2. Do we need a dark room while exposing a design on RCF?

    No, one of the most imp benefits of RCF is that it can be handled and processed under normal room-light conditions. So all contact work can be brought out of the dark rooms.

    3. How is the resolution and quality of the image reproduced on RCF?

    The emulsion of NovaLith RCF is grain less, unlike silver-based films in which the image is formed of physical opaque particles of silver-halide. NovaLith RCF therefore offers better resolution

    Yes! All the designs can be exposed on RCF. It is especially used in repeating the most intricate steps, halftone or outline designs

    Yes, RCF can be stored suitably and reused for exposing the Rotary/Flat-bed screens, if required in future.

    No. RCF can be used in the room with normal light.

    7. Is the final image on RCF UV resistant?

    Yes it is UV resistant. The deep sepia image is visually transparent but functions as an opaque image.

    8. Why do we sometimes get uneven image on RCF film?

    This may happen in the following cases : -

  • The light source of the exposing table is not uniform throughout.
  • The contact used is not even throughout, which may result in uneven image.
