    NovaLith Reproducible Clear Film

    (Drafting Media - Product Code :4106xxx )

A polyester-based sensitized clear film for direct-to-screen output in textile processing houses.

    Product NovaLith Reproducible Clear Film
    Thickness 50 & 75 microns
    Width 1000mm , 915mm , 813mm , 711mm.
    Length 15 metres
*Special width can be made available for a minimum order quantity.

    Features

    • Lights-on Convenience :
The film can be handled and processed under normal room-light conditions.
    • Positive to Positive :
The sensitized coating gives a direct duplicate of the original. A positive from a positive or a negative from a negative without an intermediate step.
    • Excellent Resolution :
The emulsion of NovaLith RCF-T is molecular and grainless, unlike silver-based films in which the image is formed of physical opaque particles of silver-halide. NovaLith RCF therefore offers better resolution
    Benefits

    • All contact work can be brought out of the darkroom. Under normal room light conditions more accurate work can be done, wastage can be reduced and profitability can be expected to improve significantly.
    • Excellent reproduce the most intricate steps, halftone or line with greater fidelity than silver-based films. Investment in expensive exposure control and automatic processing equipment essential for silver-based films is eliminated.
    • Use of NovaLith RCF-T cuts the film cost by more than 50% as compared to the use of silver-based lith films.
    • Unlike silver-based film, exposure and development variables are not critical.
    • Positives and negatives made on NovaLith RCF-T can be preserved for printing without any loss of reproductive qualities.
    Applications

    • NovaLith RCF is today widely used in textile processing houses, eliminating the manual exposing of screen, which was labour intensive, time consuming, inaccurate and not profitable.
    • NovaLith RCF has contributed in speeding up the process where there are repeats in textile design with an identical even image and density all over.
    • Processing of NovaLith RCF-T involves exposing it to a UV light source in a vacuum frame in the normal manner and dry developing it in ammonia vapour. Processing is therefore extremely simple and rapid.

    Workflow

    How it works?
    • Trace a single repeat of textile design manually on NovaTex Clear Tracing Film or print it on an inkjet plotter on NovaJet Inkjet Matte Film in case of computer designing.
    • For multiple repeats, expose these separations onto NovaLith RCF (Reproducible Clear Film) for sharp designs and halftone gradations or NovaTrace RTF-T (Reproducible Tracing Film – Textiles) for patch and blotch designs.
    • Process RCF / RTF, which involves exposing it to a UV light source in a vacuum frame in the normal manner and further developing it in ammonia vapour.
    • Position and expose the positives onto Rotary / Flat-bed screens. Process the screens as recommended.
