Chemicals Price Revision : Effective June 1, 2010 Dear Customer, As per TechNova’s self-imposed guidelines for price revisions, our pricing policies have always been directly linked to Raw Material costs. Also, we have always endeavoured to insulate our valued customers from any changes in raw material costs, by enhanced productivity and achieving other operational efficiencies. However, over the past few quarters, there has been a significant rise in the cost of raw materials, i.e. Petroleum-based solvents and Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA). Given below are graphs depicting price trends since March 2009 : Graph A : Petroleum-based Solvent Price Index  Graph B : IPA Price Index  As you can see, there has been a significant upward trend in the prices of both these raw materials. Our previous revision for IPA-based products was effective August 15, ’08 and that for Petroleum-based solvent products was on July 15, ’09. We have been delaying revising our prices in anticipation of a correction in the price trends of these products. However, the continued spiralling costs of both have left us with no other option but to review our prices for Petroleumsolvent and IPA-based products by the minimum extent possible, as per the table given below : TechNova’s revised End-user Prices for Petroleum-solvent and IPA-based products are as follows:
*The Customer prices given in the price list are inclusive of Excise, Freight & Insurance & CST as applicable.However, they do not include VAT and other local levies like Octroi & Municipal Taxes. As before, you will continue to receive attractive cash discounts on the prices mentioned from your dealer, on making cash payments for your purchases. Green Initiative: We are pleased to announce that as part of our Go Green Mission, and to encourage our customers to use aromatic free washes, we are NOT increasing the prices of aromatic free washes like HMK Wash 1 and AmberWash WM. We hope that we have been able to provide you with all the information needed to understand the rationale of this price revision. If the price of Petroleum-based solvents and IPA undergo a downward correction in subsequent quarters, we will review and revise our prices once again.
