Photo Imaging Asia 2005, the four-day photography and imaging exhibition, began on January 6. This show is being presented by Better Photography and supported by All India Photography Trade & Industry Association (AIPTIA). Homai Vyarawalla, India's first woman photojournalist, inaugurated the exhibition.
Prakash Iyer, Managing Director, Infomedia India Ltd, said, "Photography industry worldwide is witnessing explosive growth. Photo Imaging Asia 2005 is a global platform for photography and imaging industry members to exchange ideas, forge workable relationship and explore business opportunities."
Leading companies such as Agfa, Aver, Canon, Casio, EPSON, Fuji, Monarch, Hewlett Packard, Olympus, Konica Minolta, Nikon, Phil Corporation Panasonic, Photoquip, Pinnacle, Samsung and Sony India Ltd. participated in the exhibition.
One of the stars at Photo Imaging was TechNova, which displayed a wide range of inkjet media. There were live demos of Photographic papers, PhotoGlossy papers, PhotoMatte papers, Canvas, and Creative media Visitors were seen examining the impressive samples of actual jobs, which were displayed at the TechNova Stand. There were serious enquiries and good business.
